Iranian Army Official: Enemy Pushed Back by Supreme Leader’s Warning

A senior official of the Iranian Army said that The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s recent warning about Iran’s tough response to any enemy aggression pushed back enemy threats and forced the US and israeli officials to retreat.

Addressing an Iranian Army Ground Force meeting here in Tehran on Wednesday, Sayyed Mohammad Ali Al-e Hashem pointed to the US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s recent remarks that action against Iran could have “unintended consequences” in the region, and stated, “After the Supreme Leader’s recent address, they (enemies) backed down in a way that the US Defense Secretary pointed to other ways (than military option) such as (imposing) sanctions.”

He added that the Iranian Armed Forces’ vigilance and the wise leadership of The Leader of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei have acted as deterrent to the US and Israel’s blind threat.

Panetta, who took over the Pentagon’s top job in July, said he agreed with the assessment of his predecessor, Robert Gates, that a strike on Iran would only delay its nuclear program.

“It could have a serious impact in the region, and it could have a serious impact on US forces in the region,” he said. “And I think all of those things, you know, need to be carefully considered.”

Al-e Hashem noted that Washington and Tel Aviv’s aggressive and irrational stances against Iran have pushed them to isolation so deeply that their warmongering views are not shared or supported by other powers such as Russia and China and even their western allies, “and this has revealed the enemies’ weakness and inability against the Muslim Iranian nation to the entire freedom-seeking nations of the world”.

On November 10, The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned enemies about Iran’s tough response to any aggression or even threat, stressing that the country would respond with full force to any attack.

“Iran is not a nation to sit still and just observe threats from fragile materialist powers which are being eaten by worms from inside,” The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei told students at a Tehran military college.

“Anyone who harbors any thought of invading the Islamic Republic of Iran – or even if the thought crosses their mind – should be prepared to receive strong blows and the steel fists of the military, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Basij (volunteer) force, backed by the entire Iranian nation,” The Supreme Leader said.

“Iran will respond with full force to any aggression or even threats in a way that will demolish the aggressors from within,” The Leader of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei added.
