Iranian army stages war-game on western border

 

A new war-game, code named as Heidar Karrar, was staged by the Ground Force of the Iranian Army in the western area around Ghasreshirin county on Sunday.

Iranian Army Ground Force staged the third level of Heidar Karrar war-game in the area of Ghasreshirin in Kermanshah Province. The area is close to Parviz-Khan border port which links Iran and Iraq.

The third phase of the war-game was kicked off on Sunday with the force of the 35th Brigade of quick reaction force (QRF) of Iran’s Army Ground Force coming into the field.

The drill is intended to assess the readiness of QRF units and armored QRF and Special Forces QRF will join the show in stages.

The maneuver is scheduled to be run for a week in the specified region.

“Iranian armed forces are ready to defend and guard the borers of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said Lieutenant Brigadier Farhad Aryanfar, the Commander of Iran’s Army Ground Force regional HQ.
