Iranian jurisprudents demand serious probe into Mina incident

Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, top Shia jurisprudent, extended condonce over the death of Hajj pilgrims in a stampede incident in Mina, near Mecca, callling the incident a result of Saudi mismanagement urging Iranian government for a serious pursuit of the incident, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He added,” Certainly this incident happened due to mismanagement of the Saudi otherwise this chaos was quite preventable.”

Iranian cleric also slammed Saudi for another mismanagement and inapropriate behaviour towards the situation and said,” This is a rare incident though unfortunately Saudi government did not manage to sympathize with the families of the victims, probe into the incident, punish the violators, compensate the losses and also take measures to prevent similar events in future rahter they gave a cold shoulder to the event with the justification that the event has been the determination of God Almighty.”

Senior scholar also slammed a Saudi Mufti for criticizing the victims in Mina incident saying that the victims had committed suicide in a bid to be killed in a sacred place.

Ayatollah Makarem expressed regret that Mina incident tarnished the sacredness of Hajj and that compensation for this loss is not going to be easy.

Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani, senior Shia jurisprudent, also demanded Iranian government for a serious probe into Mina incident criticizing Saudi authorities for their mismanagement which has led to a tragedy during Hajj 2015.

Top cleric in his weekly teaching session in the holy city of Qom expressed regret over the catastrophe during Hajj pilgrimage calling that an unforgettable event.

He called Saudi government as a puppet of the world arrogant powers and Zionists whose sole objective is to create deviate religious groups and disunite the world of Islam.

Professor at Qom Seminary expressed regret that Saudi funds are spent for the sake of heinous objectives of arrogant powers saying that the two mosques belong to the whole world of Islam; therefore, no government is allowed to follow its personal whims or manage it based on its own will.

Top cleric demanded Iranian governemnt for a serious pursuit of the issue and said,” World of Islam has witnessed a catastrophe only because of Saudi incapability in managing annual Hajj event.” and added,” Every year during Arbaeen ceremony (40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) in the battle of Karbala) more than 20’000’000 Shia Muslims head for the holy sity of Karbala without the least incident or accident while Saudi Arabia proved its incapability in hosting 2’000’000 pilgrims.”
