Iranian NGOs condemn Israel’s onslaught on Gaza

374780_Iran-Gaza-WomenA number of Iranian NGOs have held a gathering in the capital, Tehran, to condemn Israel’s brutal onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Iranians gathered in front of Tehran City Council building on Sunday to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly children, in the blockaded enclave.

The demonstrators carried placards and chanted slogans in support of the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, including, “Death to Israel”, “Death to the US” and “Stop killing Gaza children.”

At the end of their rally, the protesters issued a statement saying the so-called advocates of human rights have shown no “decisive and practical” reaction to Israel’s war crimes in Gaza and its violation of international regulations.

They called on the United Nations to denounce and counter the Israeli regime’s atrocities in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip began on July 8. According to Palestinian health officials, the overall Palestinian death toll from the brutal Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has reached 1,918, with most of the fatalities being civilians. Nearly 10,000 others have been also wounded in the attacks.

Latest tallies show that at least 450 Palestinian children have so far lost their lives in the Israeli attacks against the impoverished Gaza Strip. Children also make up almost one-third of the injured.
