Iranian people poured to the streets after the Friday Prayers ceremonies in Tehran and other cities across the country to blast the US and other world powers’ excessive demands in nuclear talks, underlining their opposition to the inspection of Iran’s military sites and reaching a final deal at any price.

During the rallies staged to shout ‘protest at an agreement at any price’, people called on the Iranian officials not to allow foreigners to inspect Iran’s military sites under any pretext or for any reason.

They also underlined the necessity for safeguarding the Iranian nation’s pride, and urged the Iranian legislators to stand against the US excessive demands and bullying, and demand for more information about the details of the nuclear talks.

The protestors who carried placards in opposition to the inspection of Iran’s military centers, also set fire to the Israeli and US flags.

The Iranian protestors also issued a statement at the end of the rallies, saying that “the Iranian nation, like its leader, believes that no agreement is better than an agreement which tramples on the nation’s interests, damages the nation’s pride and humiliates the great Iranian nation”.

“Participants in the rallies to ‘protest at an agreement at any price’ voice their protest against continuing this fruitless and harmful path and announce clearly that they will not accept any agreement and will not allow anyone to endorse a useless and humiliating agreement,” the statement added.

In relevant remarks on Wednesday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei urged the Iranian negotiators not to bow to the West’s pressures and keep on insisting on the country’s stances that have already been announced.

“The negotiators should insist on the stances that have been announced and I hope they could meet the country’s and the ruling systems system’s interests,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and parliamentarians in Tehran.

Yet, the Supreme Leader underlined that the Iranian negotiators are engaged in hard work and efforts.

“There are many solutions to the nuclear issue all of which rely on the domestic capacities and reinforcing (domestic) production,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The Supreme Leader underlined that the nuclear issue is only a pretext to pressure Iran and even if this problem is resolved, the western powers would seek other excuses such as “human rights”.

Ayatollah Khamenei called on the Iranian officials to rely on the country’s domestic capabilities, and said, “If we boost production and use domestic potentialities, this will not only solve internal problems, but also facilitate settlement of foreign issues such as the nuclear one,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
