Iranian Researcher Builds Advanced Laser Engine

An Iranian researcher succeeded in building an advanced laser engine with the capability of 10,000 rpm (revolution per minute) for the first time in the world.

“Laser engine is an advanced engine working with computer control and its output is managed through smart controlling,” Mohammad Reza Ebadi, the researcher of the project, told FNA on Tuesday.

He further added that the product has a wide range of use in different industries, including transfer of oil and petrochemical products, auto-making, aerospace and producing foodstuffs.

This is the only engine in the world working at 10,000 rpm and high precision, he said, adding that the engine’s rpm can be managed from 0.3 to 10,000 and can even be increased to 100,000.

According to the Iranian researcher, the laser engine includes 12 poles whose planning is software-controlled.

The engine whose industrial version is in final stages is 30 centimeters long and 75 centimeters wide.

Iran has managed to gain considerable achievements in different scientific and technological spheres in recent years, although it is under several sets of the UN Security Council and western sanctions.
