Iranian Sunni cleric slams Muslim killings

Mamusta Ali Balaghi, professor at Sunni seminary in Oshnavieh County, Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) rebuked countries supporting Takfiri (excommunication) groups as criminals and said any so-called Muslim country receiving funds from colonial powers to uproot Islam is an enemy of the Muslim world.

He referred to Saudi Arabia as a puppet of the UK and US and a country unable to serve Islam.

Ali Balaghi stressed solidarity of the Muslim countries as the only solution against world colonial powers and said,” At present the most important necessity is maintaining Islamic unity against the enemies.”

The Sunni scholar warned against efforts to disperse Muslims as a pre-planned intrigue by enemies and demanded Muslims to boost their solidarity against hostile efforts.

He hailed the recent achievements in the Syrian city of Aleppo and noted,” Muslims are brothers in any part of the world and this great victory in Aleppo belongs to the world of Islam” calling that a failure for the western countries and terrorist groups in Syria.

“They intend to spark war among Muslims to achieve their objectives; hence, we hope that Muslims maintain their vigilance in an effort to foil the intrigues and Muslim unity realizes” said Mamusta Ali Balaghi.
