Iranian Sunni clerics denounce KSA over Mina tragedy

Prominent Sunni scholars demanded for prosecution of the violators behind Mina incident saying that Saudi Arabia has to claim responsibility over the death of hundreds of pilgrims who were not safeguarded while performing Hajj rituals, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Molavi Seyyed Ibrahi Fazeli, director of Ahnaf school in Taibad, Razavi Khorasan Provincein Iran, called Al Saud regime as incapable of managing the great spiritual ceremony demanding for involvement of all Muslim countries in annual Hajj ritual.

Sunni cleric, extending his condolences for the families of victims in the incident, demandedimmediate prosecution of the violators whose mismanagement has led to the incident.

“The outbreak of such a tragedy in the biggest commemoration of Muslims is a tarnish for the world of Islam.” he said criticizing Al Saud for the incident.

Molavi Habib Al Rahman Mottahari, director of Ahnaf Seminary also extended his sorrow for the families of the victims and said,” Certainly this incident has happened due to mismanagement and ignorance of Saudi Hajj authorities, therefore, thay have to stand responsible in front of all Islamic countries.”

Iranian Sunni cleric, on behalf of the religious leaders and scholars from Khaf county, demanded international bodies and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) not to ignore the issue and take necessary steps for probe into the incident.

Molavi Sharaf el Din Jami al Ahmadi, prayer leader of Torbate Jam county in Razavi Khorasan Province expressed regret for the families of the victims in Mina stampede incident calling that a proof for ignorance of Saudi Arabia in managing annual Hajj event.

He referred to the dominance of the US over Saudi Arabia and also dispersion among members of Saudi Royal family and expressed hope that management of the two holy mosques in the country are left into capable hands because this incisent is a clear proof that Al Saud is not capable enough to safeguard the lives of pilgrims and the holy sites in this country.
