Iranian Sunni prayer leader: “Enemies targeted Islamic unity.”

Mamusta Hessam el Din Mojtahedi, Sunni prayer leader of Sanandaj, in Kurdistan Province hailed cooperation and solidarity among different Islamic denominations in Iran and called Muslims to be vigilant against intrigues by the enemies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In his weekly Friday prayer sermon, Mamusta Mojtahedi felicitated Iranian nation on the occasion of Fitr Eid and lauded Islam for its stress on unity and cooperation among people.

He stressed the security and peace in society a result of solidarity among Muslims and added,” Qur’an is the constitution for all Muslims and following Qur’anic teachings is a guarantee for glory of Islamic society.”

He noted,” Undoubtedly, unity in Islamic societies will foil hostile intrigues of the enemies and bring opportunities for development and construction.”

“Wide cooperation among people, efforts of military and disciplinary forces and leadership of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, are the basic assets that credit honor and determination of Iranian nation.” Sunni cleric highlighted.

Representative of Kurdistan Province in the Assembly of Experts noted,” No enemy dares to interfere in Iran’s domestic issues once the people from different denominations unite with each other.”

Mamusta Mojtahedi also touched upon the importance of religious teachings for the younger generation and said providing the grounds for institutionalizing religious teachings in society and also the grounds for familiarizing the youths with Qur’anic teachings are the preliminaries that must be maintained by all.
