Iraninan Envoy: Iran to Continue Support for Oppressed Palestinian Nation

Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi underlined Tehran’s strong and continued support for all the oppressed nations, specially Palestinians.

“Quds, Palestine and its nation and the resistance will never remain alone and the Islamic Iran will always continue support for Palestine and its nation despite all pressures,” Roknabadi said, addressing a conference on Palestine in Beirut on Sunday.

He stressed the importance of the Palestinian issue for the Muslim world, and said, “Palestine is the main issue for the Islamic Ummah and all capacities should be utilized to set it free.”

In relevant remarks in February, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei had also underlined the significance of the Palestinian issue for Iran, and stated that Tehran will continue its support for the Palestinians and their resistance against the Zionist regime of Israel.

Speaking at a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya here in Tehran in February, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Iran regarded the issue of Palestine as its own problem, and reiterated that Tehran was steadfast in its positions to sincerely back the Palestinian nation’s resistance.

The Supreme Leader said that support of Islamic nations for the Palestinian Islamic resistance gives depth to the activities of resistance groups.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei further warned that any act which might undermine resistance trend could tarnish the future and stressed that all should be vigilant towards penetration of liberal elements into the resistance groups.

During the meeting, Haniya appreciated Iran’s support for Palestine, stressing that Palestine regarded the Iranian nation as a source of moral support.

Iran has always voiced support for anti-Israel resistance movements.
