Iran’s envoy discusses cultural ties with Lebanese minister

Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi on Tuesday discussed with Lebanese Culture Minister Gaby Lyon on ways to develop cultural and artistic ties between the two countries.

The meeting took place on the threshold of a visit to Lebanon by Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini.

Lyon welcomed Hosseini’s upcoming visit and said that his nation and government favor further development of cooperation and cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries.

Hosseini will take part in regional conference themed ‘Dialogue of Islam and Christianity’, Roknabadi said, adding that in addition to the conference which will be held by Iran’s Cultural Office in Beirut, Hosseini will discuss development of cultural ties with the Lebanese counterpart and other senior officials.

Roknabadi and Lyon also agreed to organize Iran’s Cultural Week in Beirut.
