Iran’s incoming envoy to UN officially starts his term

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Envoy to UN, Reza Najafi, has officially started his term at the UN in Vienna.

According to IRIB World Service, citing IRNA, Iran’s incoming envoy to UN handed over his credentials to the Director General of the UN Office in Vienna, Yury Fedotov, on Monday.
In this meeting, Iran’s envoy to UN referred to the importance of multilateral cooperation among countries and specialized agencies of the UN in Vienna, while underlining the indomitable resolve of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government in expansion of mutual cooperation between the two parties, especially in regard to the anti-drug campaign.
Meanwhile, Fedotov, for his part, praised Iran’s constructive and effective role in the campaign against illicit drugs, while reminding the important impact of this constructive role in promotion of regional cooperation in Central Asia, and Persian Gulf. He also highlighted Iran’s guiding role to this end.
