Iran’s new web search engine “Gorgor”

Iran designs a new search web search engine called Gorgor.

Iran is looking to advance in the fields of information technology and information communication technology known as (ICT). The new web search engine Gorgor is one way Iran plans to compete against known browsers such as Google, Yahoo and Bing. One of the project managers for Gorgor talked to Press TV and compared this search engine to more advanced worldwide used engines.

ICT is the integration of telecommunications such as telephone lines and wireless signals, computers as well as necessary enterprise software, middleware, storage, and audio-visual systems, which enable users to access, store and transmit information. Iranian ICT Minister talked about Iran’s plans for advancing in information communication technology.

Iran’s government plans to be ranked top ten in world within the next 20 years in information and communication technology
