Hezbollah denies Saudi Coalition claims of 8 fighters killed in Yemen

Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah categorically denied the Saudi-led Coalition’s recent claim that alleged they killed eight members of the Lebanese group in Yemen.

The Hezbollah leader approached the topic by specifically stating that he will not confirm whether or not his forces are on the ground in Yemen.

“We’ve recently said that for certain reasons and interests, we do not say whether we have a presence in Yemen,” the Hezbollah leader said during his televised speech on Friday.

Sayyed Nasrallah would then state that Hezbollah did not in fact lose any fighters in Yemen recently, despite claims by the Saudi-led Coalition.

“But whether we’re there or not, I categorically deny that there are Hizbullah martyrs in Yemen — not in the last few days nor in recent years,” he said.

The Saudi-led Coalition said a week ago that their forces had killed eight members of Hezbollah that were attempting to travel to the Saudi border from northern Yemen.
