Iran’s Yemen proposal significant, necessary: Analyst

Press TV has conducted an interview with Massoud Shadjareh, head of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, in London, to share his opinion on Iran’s proposed peace plan to end the crisis in Yemen.

Shadjareh describes as “quite significant” and “urgently needed” the Iranian proposal, which calls for an immediate end to the conflict in Yemen as well as the dispatch of humanitarian aid to violence-wracked people in the Arabian Peninsula state.

He adds that Saudi Arabia’s “barbaric” attacks and bombings will bear no result except for the increased suffering of innocent civilians in Yemen.
Pointing to the situation in Yemen, he argues that the Saudi government and its allies are really ignoring the basic and fundamental needs of Yemenis, including medicine and humanitarian supplies.

The analyst goes on to say that Saudi Arabia’s aggression against Yemen amounts to “war crime,” saying the kingdom has a long history of negligence towards the oppressed people throughout the world.

Riyadh’s war will not bring any sort of prosperity to the Arab nation, Shadjareh says, concluding that the Saudi atrocities incite increasing hatred towards Riyadh among the Yemenis.
