Iraq will prevent Weapons’ smuggling to Syria via Its Territories

The Iraqi government stressed Support to the mission of the UN Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi.

Iraq expressed also its rejection of passing arms to Syria via the Iraqi territories.

In a statement to the Iraqi Media Network, Spokesman of the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh, said that the Iraqi government will not permit passing arms to Syria.

The Iraqi Government stressed his country’s efforts to enhance the peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria and support Brahimi’s initiative.
