The Iraqi Army managed to fully liberate two strategic districts on the Eastern edge of the Northern city of Mosul from ISIL terrorists, a day after they entered the major Iraqi city that has been under the control of terrorists since 2014, army sources said Tuesday.

“The Iraqi Army managed to fully liberate districts of ‘Kokjeli’ and ‘Al-Sameh’ and inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists,” the source said.

The development comes hours after the Iraqi Army retook Mosul’s Radio and TV broadcasting buildings on Tuesday.

In a separate development, Iraqi Army forces also managed to enter the city of Mosul from the Northern outskirts of the ISIL-held city.

According to the latest reports, the Iraqi Army forces also entered Judaydat al-Mufti neighborhood, on the left flank of the Mosul battlefield. Heavy clashes are reported between Iraqi Army forces and terrorists in the district.
