The Iraqi Army’s 9th Armored Division liberated the large hilltop of Tulal Al-Bajj on Tuesday after a violent battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists near the imperative town of Al-Shirqat.

The Iraqi Army was able to seize Tulal Al-Bajj in the Salaheddine Governorate after advancing from the Al-Shirqat Junction this weekend. ISIS attempted to recapture this area using 7 VBIEDs after losing it on Tuesday morning; however, this counter-attack was foiled by the Iraqi Army.
