Iraqi Army Regains Control over Most of Tal Afar, Kills Scores of Terrorists

The Iraqi army announced that its troops advanced in Tal Afar, regaining control over most of its areas, according to the Iraqi national news agency.

The Iraqi military also liberated the Lakes area north of Babylon.
The military leadership added that “the security forces managed today to foil an attempt of ISIS to control the Biji refinery, killing 40 ISIL terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles.

The Iraqi army freed some areas of the Edhaym district and killed 19 ISIL terrorists. It further regained control over areas in in Bala, Dhuluiya and Ishaqi and others.

In Anbar province, the Iraqi army also killed 21 ISIL terrorists.
