Iraqi President Stressing his Country’s Support to Syria against Schemes Targeting its Security and Stability

President Bashar al-Assad on Monday received a message from Iraqi President Jalal Talabani stressing Iraq’s support to Syria in face of the schemes targeting the stability and security of Syria.

The message was conveyed by Iraqi National Security Advisor and Minister of National Security, Faleh Fayadh, during President al-Assad’s meeting with him in the morning.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the standing security cooperation between Syria and Iraq and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the two countries in a way that reflects positively on the security and stability of both countries and the region.

President al-Assad received last month a message from President Talabani stressing Iraq’s support to security and stability in Syria and the reform program.
