IRGC Air defense commander replaced

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has appointed General Farzad Esmaili as the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base.

“Upon the suggestion of Army Commander [Ataollah Salehi] and considering your commitment and competence, I appoint you as the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base,” Imam Khamenei’s decree read.

“I expect the necessary preparedness to be enhanced and the aforementioned goals to be realized,” the Leader’s official website reported on Sunday.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People expressed gratitude for the valuable efforts of the former commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya’s Air Defense Base, Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani.

Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base is under the command of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
