Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami underlined that Iran’s missile power is a major deterrent to enemies’ military attacks.
“Our missile power prevents practice of military attacks by the enemies, specially the US,” General Salami said on Thursday.

He pointed to Iran’s military prowess, and said, “Today the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missile power is among the first ten world powers and this capability has been achieved without seeking the major world powers’ assistance.”

On Tuesday, IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi underlined Iran’s military might and preparedness of the country’s Armed Forces, and said that the US can no more pose any threat to Iran.

“The Americans do not dare to give a dirty look to Iran,” Admiral Fadavi said, addressing the opening ceremony of Iran’s 16th Naval Industries Conference in Bandar Abbas port, Southern Iran.

He reiterated that the plans and measures put into action by Iran in its defense sector have all been adopted for the sake of defending the country and deterrence purposes, adding that Iran is not at an aggressive power.

The Iranian officials have always stressed that the country’s military and arms programs serve defensive purposes and should not be perceived as a threat to any other country.
