IRGC: Pro-US tyrants will cede power

A senior official of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned regional dictators to reflect upon the fate of pro-US and Israel oppressors and relinquish their despotic hold on power.

General Ramzan Sharif, a deputy commander of the IRGC, made reference to the upcoming last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan, marking the International Day of Quds (Jerusalem), and told reporters on Tuesday that today we are witnessing a surging resentment against the “Zionist regime” (Israel), IRNA reported.

“The most important message of the Quds Day is that US- and Israeli-backed dictators in the region should learn from the fate of the Egyptian Pharaoh (Hosni Mubarak), (Tunisia’s deposed ruler Zine El Abidine) Ben Ali, and (Libya’s dictator Muammar) Gaddafi, and abide by the will of their nations, and renounce support for the Zionist regime.”

General Sharif further expressed hope for the expansion of unity among Muslims following the fall of pro-Western tyrants, leading to a siege of Israel.

The founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of Ramadan as the “International Day of Quds” to protest against and raise awareness about the brutal occupation of Palestine by the US-backed Israeli regime and invoke support for Palestinian resistance against the persisting occupation of their lands and massive violation of their rights.

Millions of people are expected to take part in the International Day of Quds rallies across the globe on August 26 in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine as well as those oppressed by dictatorial rulers or other foreign powers.
