IRGC to secure Iran-Pakistan borders: Cmdr

IRGC commander Brig. Gen. Jafari has said that the IRGC Ground Force is going to secure borders of Iran and Pakistan near the Iranian city of Saravan.
Mehr News quoted IRGC official website that due to recent abductions and martyrdom of Iranian border guards on Iran-Pakistan borders the IRGC ground Force is going to protect 300 kilometers of Saravan borders.

IRGC commander recently visited the region which hopefully would result in increase of Iranian guards’ ability on borders that also requires cooperation of all tribes and residences.

Brig. Gen. Jafari visited security guards of the region and emphasized on more cooperation between IRGC and other security forces and intelligence organizations to have further safety and less tention in the region.

Jafari asserted that “terrorists and enemies must know that they have no respect among the Iranian nation and the more terrorist actions they do the more people detest them.”

In October 2013 fourteen Iranian border guards were martyred and in February five more guards were kidnapped and transferred to Pakistan; one of the abducted guards was killed by Jaysh Al-Ahd terrorist group last week.
