IRGC will deliver proportionate response to threats: Commander

A top Iranian commander says the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has developed fundamental competence and readiness to respond to threats against the country proportionally.

“IRGC’s Ground Forces will certainly play a leading role in countering threats,” Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour told Fars news agency on Sunday.

The Ground Forces are prepared to deliver a “crushing and proportionate” response to any threat.

On March 20, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei emphasized that the Iranian nation will respond proportionally to any potential threat against its soil by the US or the Zionist regime (Israel).

“We do not possess a nuclear weapon and we will never build one, but we will defend ourselves against any aggression, whether by the US or the Zionist regime, proportionally,” said The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
