IRI urges Lebanese groups to be vigilant

The Islamic Republic of Iran invited the Lebanese political groups to keep vigilance and unity amid the latest developments in the country.

“The Lebanese political groups are expected to be vigilant and keep their national unity in the current conditions. They should not allow anyone to sow discord and tension in Lebanon,” Caretaker of IRI Foreign Ministry Ali Akbar Salehi said Friday.

Salehi said Syria and Saudi Arabia’s joint initiative to resolve the problem was a fair plan that could help the current situation in Lebanon but the plan was made to reach a deadlock by foreign meddling.
