IRIB to Produce TV Series about Martyred Hizbullah Secretary-General

A television series about Sayyed Abbass Mousawi, the martyred Hizbullah Secretary-General will be produced by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
Mohammad Hashemi-Asl, TV producer announced in an interview: “We have planned to make a high quality series based on the personality of Sayed Abbass Mousawi that will be shoot abroad.”

He added: “As the research has finished, Jaber Qassemali has started writing the screenplay that will be a lengthy task. Till now, 26 parts have been planned and we haven’t yet decided about the director.

Hashemi-Asl, is a well-known Iranian produced with successful TV series, the latest one being “Detour” that finished last night.

Sayyed Abbas Moussawi was one of the most prominent founders of Hizbullah which occurred under the great suffering induced by the Zionist invasion against Lebanon, in addition to the multinational forces deployment later on.

He was elected as Secretary General of Hizbullah in May 1991. On February 16, 1992, on the way back of the martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Ragheb Harb his motorcade was targeted by ‘Israeli’ Apache helicopters in southern Lebanon killing him, his wife, his 6 year-old child, and 2 guards.
