The commander of Iran’s border police underlined that enemies’ objective behind creating the ISIL (Daesh) terrorist group is to provide the security for the Zionist regime of Israel.

Speaking in a meeting with Omani Army Commander Brigadier General Hamd bin Rashid bin Saeed al-Balushi and his accompanying delegation, Brigadier General Qassem Rezaei referred to the current problems facing the Middle East region and the spread of insecurity in certain countries, attributing them to enemy plots.

The enemies’ move to create ISIL has been aimed at sowing discord among Muslim countries, undermining their power and finally ensuring the security of the Tel Aviv regime, the commander stated.

The ISIL Takfiri group has been committing heinous crimes against all ethnic and religious groups, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Izadi Kurds and others in Iraq, Syria and several other countries.

General Rezaei further described the common border between Iran and Oman as one of the most secure borders of the Islamic Republic, saying that the promotion of relations between the two countries’ armed forces is essential to prevent the spread of insecurity in the region.

The Omani commander, for his part, praised the Iranian border police’s active diplomacy and its power and capabilities in combatting terrorist groups and drug smugglers.

Iran and Oman have had close cooperation in defense fields. The two countries have held several naval drills in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman in recent years.
