ISIL Retreat from More Positions under Syrian Gov’t Forces’ Attacks in Heights at Border with Lebanon

The Syrian pro-government forces engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in the Northern part of the Western Qalamoun region and freed the height Qarna Sha’aba al-Shanshar, al-Sahrij cave and Harf al-Jafr and moved towards al-Zoweitinityeh heights.

In the meantime, the army men and Hezbollah fighters imposed full control over Zalil Um al-Jama’ah heights Northeast of al-khanzir heights and laid siege on ISIL in Martabiya canyon.

Field reports said, meantime, that the Syrian Air Force carried out a number of combat flights over ISIL’s positions in Mira passageway, Matabiyeha and al-Roumiyat in Western Qalamoun, adding that the army’s artillery and missile units shelled heavily ISIL’s gathering centers in al-Jarajeer and Qareh heights in Western Qalamoun.
