ISIL’s Supply Lines Hit Hard in Syrian Air Raids at Border with Lebanon

According to a military source in Damascus, the fighter jets specifically targeted the ISIL’s movements from the Zamrani Crossing, which is one of the terrorist group’s only routes to Lebanon.

The airstrikes are aimed at cutting off the ISIL terrorists’ supply line at the border and force them to surrender this part of the Qalamoun Mountains they still occupy.

Security sources reported in late July that the Lebanese and Syrian armies were on alert to start parallel operations against the ISIL and al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorist groups in the bordering heights of Arsal region.

The sources said that the Lebanese army was prepared to start parallel military operations in Arsal region with Syria and closed off all routes to the region.

Also, the Syrian army sent a large number of military forces and equipment to Western Qalamoun near the border with Lebanon.

A military source noted that the Syrian fighter jets were targeting the terrorists’ positions in an introduction to the operations, and added that the Syrian soldiers and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance group would start military operations in Syria in the first phase.

Meantime, he added that the Lebanese army soldiers will also safeguard the Eastern borders to prevent the Takfiri terrorists from crossing into the country.

The Syrian air force pounded the terrorists’ positions in Faliteh heights and Wadi al-Khayl region in Arsal region.
