Islam, the true caller of human rights: Head of Iran’s Judiciary chief

Head of Iran’s Judiciary said, “Islam is the true caller of human rights with a historical record and theoretical stronghold in this field.”

According to IRIB, head of the Iranian judiciary Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani deemed as very important the explanation of the issue of human rights in Islamic communities and added, “Human dignity and paying attention to human rights are very much heeded in heavenly religions especially Islam.”
Pointing to the significance of defense and confronting the propaganda assaults of the west against Islamic human rights, the judiciary chief stressed, “Defending the Islamic boundaries against western human rights attacks is a great jihad in the way of Islam.”
Referring to some ayahs and hadith on human dignity and values, Ayatollah Amoli Larijani remarked, “Since more than 1400 years ago the purest words and statements have been stipulated in the holy Qur’an and uttered by the Prophet (SAWA) and the infallible Imams (peace upon them) on the issue of human rights and values.”
Expressing regret over abuse of human rights by westerners against independent and anti-Arrogance countries, Iran’s judiciary chief made it clear: “Westerners try to impose their human rights principles to the world while theoretically they (the principles) lack required supports and practically they (westerners) show dual behaviors in this regard.”
The Iranian official said elsewhere in his remarks: “Presently the westerners are oppressing nations two-fold and publish unreal things in their human rights reports; so Muslims should defend their oppressed human rights via bolstering theoretical and practical principles.”
