Islamic Awakening is indebted to Imam Khomeini (RA) thoughts

Molawi Abdul Hamid Esmaeel Zehi, Sunni prayer leader of Zahedan in the Southeastern Province of Sistan and Baluchistan, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) explained his views on the role of Imam Khomeini (RA) in victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and also the unity among different Islamic denominations in the country.

He referred to the efforts of the late founder of Islamic Revolution in victory of the great public movement and noted,” Imam Khomeini (RA) gathered people from different walks of life to topple Pahlavi regime (former royal regime in Iran) and promised a future affluent with freedom, independence, justice, fraternity and equality.”

Sunni cleric also highlighted the return of natural resources to the people as another achievement of the Islamic Revolution by late Imam Khomeini (RA).

Manager of Dar-ul-Ulum Sunni seminary in Zahedan also praised the efforts of Imam Khomeini (RA) in uniting Shia and Sunni Muslims saying,” The late founder of Islamic Revolution made several visits to Sunni scholars during his exile in Iraq and while on Hajj pilgrimage he discussed the issue of Palestine with other Muslim clerics and collected donations for the oppressed nation.”

He stressed,” The views of late Imam Khomeini (RA) were beyond religious and sectarian prejudices since the late Imam led global thoughts.”

Iranian Sunni leader hailed the efforts of Imam Khomeini (RA) to support the oppressed people around the world and highlighted the efforts of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as the continuation of those by the late founder of the Islamic Revolution saying, “Today Historical statement by the Supreme Leader banning any desecration of Sunni sanctities and the household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a great move in line with boosting Islamic unity.”

He added,” Plans to divide Islamic denominations are plots by the Zionists and world arrogant powers because they have come to the result that the best way to stand against Islam, guarantee their interests and the Zionist regime is to wage war among Muslims because they not only pay no price for that but also sell their weaponry.”

Molawi Abdul Hamid Esmaeel Zehi demanded Muslims to be vigil respect each other and find a solution for the present issue of some disagreements among different Islamic communities.

He reiterated that the Islamic Awakening in Iran led to a greater awakening in the whole world particularly in the world of Islam; hence, all Islamic Revolutions are inspired by the awakening of the Iranian nation led by late Imam Khomeini (RA).

Top Sunni cleric noted that the main reason for the present issues in the world of Islam is due to the distance between Muslims and the holy book of Islam and said,” Any nation who is divided from its civilization and teachings is doomed to be lost.”

In his view the most important necessity for the Muslims is to return to the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), his companions and Ahlul Bayt (AS) (household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)) and in the second priority stands the vigilance of the Muslims so that they notice the plots of the enemies and avoid disagreements and intrigues and unite in respecting each other’s rights.
