Islamic Iran fully ready to counter any threats

A senior Iranian commander says Iran’s military forces are fully ready to respond appropriately to any possible threat by the state enemies and arrogant powers.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi said on Thursday that Iran’s military, backed by a powerful Basij (mobilization) force is “in optimum readiness” to confront any aggression against the country, IRNA reported.

Referring to popular Islamic uprisings in the regional countries, Brigadier General Izadi pointed out that such popular movements stem from Iran’s Islamic Revolution against another US-backed dictator.

The Islamic awakening began in Tunisia in December 2010 and then spread to other Muslim nations, including Egypt, Yemen, Libya, and Bahrain, leading to the collapse of former Egyptian regime of Hosni Mubarak and the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

Iran has repeatedly stated that its military might poses no threat to other countries, reiterating that its defense doctrine is merely based on deterrence.
