Islamic Jihad holds victory rally in Gaza

Thousands of Palestinians participated in a victory rally organized by the movement to celebrate the end of Israeli aggressions against Gaza under a truce deal which respected the conditions set by the movement.

The rally was attended by senior Islamic Jihad officials while the group’s secretary-general, Ramadan c, sent a video message from Damascus.

Shallah said it was a first time that the Palestinian resistance forced a new type of truce on Israel. He threatened that the Islamic Jihad’s military wing will extend its rocket fire deeper into Israel, in response to Israel’s threats to increase the scope of its attacks on Gaza. “They (the Israelis) know where they (the rockets) can reach,” Shallah said.

He added that the Islamic Jihad will not accept any agreement that does not include an end to the targeted killings policy. “Despite the occupation, the destruction and isolation attempts, the resistance can defend itself and can introduce panic and disrupt the daily routine of many Israelis,” he said.

Shallah said that while the current round of aggressions was over the war between Israel and the Palestinians was not. “It will not end without the liberation of Palestine’s lands and the dismantling of this criminal entity.”
