Islamic Jihad Leader: Zionist Occupation Israel Massacring Palestinians with US Green Light

A senior leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s continued air raids on the Gaza Strip, and underlined that Zionist Occupation Israel dared to attack the Palestinians only after it received the US green light.

“The massacre of the Palestinians by the Zionists was carried out with the US green light,” Khezr Habib told FNA on Monday.

Lamenting that the Zionist enemy will never give up its continued aggressions against the Palestinian nation and the regional people, he said that the Zionist regime is an alien entity in the region and enemies know well that imposing such an entity on the regional and Palestinian nations is impossible but by using force and cruelty.

Habib meantime stressed the Islamic Jihad’s firm stance in defending itself and the Palestinian nation.

Zionist Occupation Israel has launched a new wave of atrocities against the Palestinian people in the last few days. Dozens of Palestinians have been killed and many more have been wounded since the Zionist regime started the new wave of air raids against Gazans on Friday.

On the third day of the Israeli onslaught against the Palestinians on Sunday, a Palestinian teenager was killed and another Palestinian was wounded as Israel pounded Gaza Strip.

The raid happened East of the Jabaliya refugee camp in Gaza early Sunday, bringing the death toll from Zionist Occupation Israeli airstrikes to 18 since Friday.

The new killing came after a series of attacks left at least 17 Palestinian dead and 30 more injured in the past three days.

One of the strikes killed the head of the Popular Resistance Committees, Zohair al-Qaisi, and fellow member Mahmud Hanani. The PRC threatened reprisals for Qaisi’s death.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Sunday strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s continued air raids on the Gaza Strip, which has, thus far, killed dozens of Palestinians and injured tens of people.

“The repeated assaults and aggressions of the Zionist regime’s military men against the defenseless Palestinian people in Gaza… are condemned as war crimes and inhuman acts,” the foreign ministry said.

The statement also blasted the international community and the world bodies which claim to be supporting human rights for their silence on Israel’s crimes in Gaza, and said, “The international community and the human rights bodies are required not to keep mum about such flagrant violations of human rights and massacre of the defenseless Palestinian people by the Zionists and act upon their human and legal duty and responsibility for defending the Palestinian people.”

Zionist Occupation Israeli military frequently bombs the Gaza Strip. The new wave of air raids is one of the deadliest periods on the Gaza-Israel border since a devastating Zionist Occupation Israeli assault in December 2008-January 2009.
