Islamic Republic of Iran, Vietnam review ways of promoting economic ties

IRI’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi in a meeting with visiting Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat on Saturday reviewed ways of expanding mutual economic ties.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 7th session of Iran-Vietnam Joint Economic and Technical Commission in Tehran.

Minister of Industry, Mines, Trade and Agriculture Mehdi Ghazanfari also met his Vietnamese counterpart during the meeting.

The two sides are expected to sign an agreement on avoidance of double-taxation.

The meeting is aimed at boosting mutual economic and technical cooperation and laying the foundation for expansion of trade relations.
