Islamic Ulema should not be silent on developments in Syria

The Source of Emulation, Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, has called on the Ulema of World of Islam and Muslims not to remain silent in the face of developments in Syria.

According to IRIB World Service, in an address to the pilgrims of the Holy Shrine of the 8th Infallible Successor to Prophet Mohammad (SAWA), Imam Reza (PBUH),in the holy city of Mashhad on Saturday, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi referred to the recent developments in Syria, while adding that Muslims should be vigilant and the Islamic Ulema should break their silence in regard to developments in this Arab country.
This Source of Emulation pointed out that the US and its cohorts are destroying the Islamic countries, one after the other, while adding that following the occupation and destabilization of Afghanistan and Iraq, the hegemonic powers are making strenuous efforts to push Egypt and Syria toward destruction and insecurity.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi noted that the only option is a negotiated solution to the Syrian crisis.
