Israel Flouts Truce Deal, Opens Fire at Gaza Borderlands

The Israeli military watchtowers set along the Gaza border fence opened fire at Palestinians’ farmlands East of Khan Younis city, to the South of the Gaza Strip, in a renewed violation of the ceasefire accord signed in Cairo.

Local sources said the Israeli forces deployed near the Kissufim military base targeted Palestinians’ agricultural tracts along the outskirts of Khan Younis with randomly-shot barrages of gunfire on Sunday night, causing mild damage to crops, PIC reported.

No injuries have been reported yet, the same sources reported.

A series of flagrant Israeli violations of the Cairo-brokered ceasefire agreement has recently been detected as the Israeli forces has frequently targeted Gaza’s fishermen and land tracts with volleys of gunfire unleashed on a quasi-daily basis.
