Israeli attack on Syria carries severe consequences: Iran

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister strongly condemned the Israeli air strike on Syrian territory and said “the attack on Syria shows the common goals of the Zionist regime and the terrorists.”
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian pointed to ambitious occupation objectives of the Zionist regime, and called UN Secretary General for effective measures and said “the parties that always have taken aggressive position against Syria are now obliged to take serious and decisive stance against this invasion and use regional security as the priority.”

He warned the Apartheid regime and added that “the Zionist regime should not be over-confident because of the Patriot Air Defense systems deployed in the region, since it [Patriot Air Defense] has proven its ineffectiveness in the Gaza 8-day war recently.
