Israeli interception of Gaza aid ship, a political ignominy

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has said that the interception of a Gaza-bound French aid ship by Israeli naval forces was a “political ignominy on the record of the fake Zionist regime.”
Israeli navy on Tuesday seized a French ship heading for the Gaza Strip in defiance of Israel’s brutal blockade of the territory, and began towing it to shore after what the Zionist military said was an uneventful takeover.

“This action, after a series of diplomatic brokering with the aim of preventing the movement of Gaza-bound aid ships, is a political ignominy on the record of the fake Zionist regime,” Larijani said in an address to the parliament on Wednesday.

He also criticized the United State and other Western countries for approving of “the act of piracy” and said this action does not show their strength but reveals their deep anxiety about ongoing developments in the Middle East and North Africa.

“The U.S. and the West are observing the collapse of certain regional countries’ despotic rulers who regarded their years of dependence on the U.S. as their trump card,” the top legislator noted.

“But despite U.S. ploys and attempts to put obstacles in the way of revolutions in the region, especially in Libya, Yemen, and Bahrain, the nations’ resolve to campaign for their demands has been strengthened.”

He added, “Now that the ground has been prepared for defending the oppressed Palestinian nation, the Zionist regime is suffering horrendous hallucinations about its existence, so is even scared of its own shadow.”

He went on to say that the U.S. and the Zionist regime are in the wrong because they are opposing the popular movements instead of trying to realize the strategic importance of the matters.

“It is a total ignorance and a fatal political illness afflicting the U.S. and Zionists,” he said.
