Iran General tells Russian DM: Israel continuing crimes could lead to entry of other actors

The continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes could lead to the entry of other actors into the arena, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces told Russia’s Defence Minister over the phone.

Following the escalation of the Zionist regime’s crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri held a telephone conversation with Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Qatari Defence Minister Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah.

Calling for the immediate action of the international community to stop Israeli crimes and provide relief to the people of Gaza, General Bagheri said, “We are deeply concerned about the continuation of vast and brutal crimes against civilians; Such barbaric behaviour will not be tolerated and independent governments must react seriously to it.”

Major General Bagheri added,” The continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes and the direct support and aid of some countries have made the situation more complicated and can lead to the entry of other actors into this arena.”

Russian Defence Minister also stated that his country’s position on the necessity of establishing a ceasefire and preventing harm to civilians is clear, and stated that Russia’s initiative in the UN Security Council in this matter did not come to fruition due to the opposition of some Western countries.

The recent defence actions of the Palestinian Resistance groups were a response to the Zionist regime’s crimes against the holy sites of Muslims in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attack on the Palestinian worshipers, General Bagheri also told Qatari Defence Minister.

By observing these crimes, no silence can be justified for Muslims, and with the continuation of these barbarities, there is a possibility of any reaction from the Resistance groups, Bagheri said.

Referring to the role of the US in directing the criminal operations of the Zionist regime, Bagheri demanded that countries prevent the transfer of weapons and equipment from American bases in the region to the occupied territories.
