Israel’s policies consistent with Nazi tenets: Analyst

Israel’s criminal and expansionist political structure represents the regime’s Nazi-style tenets, a political analyst tells Press TV.

“The Jewish state is a racist, nationalist, expansionist state and…its political philosophy is consistent with the Nazi ideology,” said political activist and writer, Gilad Atzmon, in a Monday interview with Press TV.

“The only difference between the Nazi state and Israel is that Nazi state survived 12 years, and when it comes to Zionism and Israel, we are dealing with as long as 120 years of this movement that actually predates Nazism,” he noted.

The analyst pointed to Israel’s massacre of innocent people and the collective punishment the regime exercises against the Palestinians on a daily basis and noted, “The entire population of Palestinians in the [occupied] West Bank and in [besieged] Gaza [Strip] is living in an open-air prison.”

The analyst argued that the West’s silence over Israel’s continued atrocities is due to the fact that the Western politics is dominated by the Zionist lobby.

On Sunday, at least two Palestinians were killed after Israeli forces attacked the besieged Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Israeli warplanes carried out multiple attacks on the Gaza Strip, hitting several areas in the besieged enclave including the city of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli troops frequently target Palestinians particularly along the border with the besieged enclave.

The Israeli attacks against the Palestinian territories come as over 250 Palestinian prisoners are on hunger strike to express their opposition to the Israeli administrative detention, which is a sort of imprisonment without trial or charge that allows Israel to incarcerate Palestinians for up to six months.
