Iran is planning to launch a new television channel in an attempt to introduce the country’s countless tourist attractions and cultural history.

Iran’s Tourism channel is scheduled to be launched on Eid-al Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

“The channel will broadcast programs about national and international tourism,” said General Manager of Iran’s Tourism channel Masoud Ahmadi-Afzadi.

“In order to introduce Iran’s tourism potentials, the channel will start broadcasting programs with subtitles and will then present them in Arabic and English,” he added.

The channel will focus on different tourism aspects including religion, health, sports, traditions, rituals and nature, inviting people from all over the world to enjoy what Iran has to offer in all areas.

With its hospitable people and unique natural, cultural and architectural attractions, Iran is one of the best options for tourists traveling in the Middle East and one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world.

The four-season climate, cultural diversity and matchless historical sites and handicrafts are only part of what it can offer.

Visitors can enjoy thick forests with moderate climate in north of the country, dry and hot weather and climate with vast deserts in the east and southeast, and hot and humid climate with eye-catching palm groves in the south.

They can also visit thousands of palaces, museums, gardens, houses, caravanserais, and historical bridges, and get familiar with different ethnic groups, and get acquainted with their ceremonies, customs, dresses, and handicrafts.

The country stands fifth in terms of tourist attractions and holds the second position in biodiversity.
