‘Karbala holy stories should be offered in attractive way’

Hojatoleslam Ali Darabie, the religious thinker and researcher at the Islamic development organization underlined the necessity of familiarizing Children with the event of Ashura and life of Imam Hussein (PBUH) stressing, teachers and instructors working at this level should become familiar with childish narration of Karbala holy stories and events, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Islamic scholar went on to underscore, on account of teachers’ and instructors’ continuous relationship with children, they are shouldered with crucial duty in offering Islamic teachings and instructions.

“It is incumbent upon religious cleric and instructors to choose attractive methods of transferring the religious concepts and principles to children,” stressed the senior cleric adding it was essential to take advantage of the modern innovations in the educational centers.

To this end, he proposed officials should establish the skill-increasing workshops,adopting new attitude towards the methods of learning the religious concepts.

Hojatoleslam Ali Darabie placed accentuation on the spiritual dimensions of Ashura and the philosophy stands behind it urging instructors to draw their attentions to this area.

In the year 680, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his 72 companions were martyred in a heroic confrontation that not only became the defining moment for Shia Islam, but also the exemplar of valiant struggles against overwhelming forces of oppression and injustice for all time.

Imam Hussein’s timeless message was straightforward and sincere: “I wish that, through the strength of my suffering tyranny, I may root out the very foundation of oppression and cruelty
Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was also the canonical example for leadership, something terribly lacking in our times.

With exceptions that one can count on one hand, there are no leaders today, only mere managers who, in the words of scholars Ian Mitroff and Warren Bennis, have no gut stake in enterprise and no vision.

Hussein was a true leader: As the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the son of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) his gut stake was at the very heart of Islam, and his vision not only involved restoring and safeguarding the Islam of his grandfather, but also establishing a universal example for confronting tyrannical powers for all time by means of his selfless sacrifice.

Given the above line, according to Hojatoleslam Ali Darabie, teachers and instructors should try their very utmost to guide children to the right path and encourage them to abide by Imam Hussein’s principles.
