A large number of Kurdish families in the Turkish city of Nasibain have fled their homes and crossed the border to reach the town of Qamishli in Northern Syria in a bid to escape Turkey’s military operations against them, local sources said.

The Turkish army has intensified its air raids and attacks against the Kurdish residents of Nassibin, the sources added.

Turkey’s helicopters have also started pounding the Nasibain city.

The local sources also said that the Turkish army’s artillery units also regularly hit Nasibain city.

The Turkish army is also pounding the Kurds across the border in Syria.

The recent attacks by the Turkish army against the Northern parts of Syria and tensions at the bordering areas indicate Ankara’s attempts to draw war against the Kurdish opposition into the Syrian territories.
