Large convoy of Syrian Marines head to east Homs to drive back ISIS

A large convoy of Syrian Marines departed from the coast, Thursday, to the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate, Syrian journalist Bashar ‘Osman (var.’Uthman) reported.

According to ‘Osman, the Syrian Marines left the Latakia Governorate for east Homs, as they join the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in their battle to retake the territory they lost near the strategic city of Al-Sukhnah.

Video footage of this convoy leaving Latakia was released by ‘Osman on Thursday; it shows several vehicles filled with marines traveling through a small village.

Over the last five days, the Syrian Arab Army has been immersed in a fierce battle outside of Al-Sukhnah, as they attempt to put an end to ISIS’ large-scale offensive.
