Larijani: Countries Seeking to Stoke Crisis in Syria Will Be Engulfed by Its Fire

Speaker of Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani said that countries which seek to stoke the crisis in Syria will be engulfed by its fire, criticizing these countries’ doubts about the success of the mission of the UN Special Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan.

In a statement on Sunday, Larijani added that these countries which gathered and presented Annan’s plan are now talking about its failure despite the fact that Annan has not yet started his mission fully, calling for giving the UN Special Envoy the space to accomplish his mission.

Larija warned certain countries, which have not experienced any war in their countries, not to wage a war in Syria because, in that case, they will play with “gunpowder”.
