Larijani: Syria Plays Key Role in Supporting Resistance

Speaker of Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani, said Syria plays an important role in supporting the resistance, adding that nowadays there some sides want to venture in the region through creating problems to Syria.

In a statement upon arrival to Damascus International Airport, Larijani reiterated Syria’s leading role in supporting the resistance, calling on the mass media of the resistance to shed the light on this role.

Larijani said “Democratic reforms in Syria is a necessary matter and this could be achieved through the political dialogue,”

” Militarization of the crisis will lead to killing more Syrians and this is wrong method, ” he added.

” Accelerated issues occur in the region, whether in Syria, Turkey or in Lebanon and these developments gain a special importance, particularly after the Zionist aggression on Gaza, where they thought that they can destroy the resistance, but the Palestinian people proved that they have a good ability to defend themselves,” Larijani said.

He stressed Iran’s support to the Palestinian resistance and all the resistance powers on the land.
