Last New Zealand’s Troops Return from Afghanistan

Sixty members of the New Zealand’s troops arrived at Christchurch airport from Afghanistan on Saturday, marking the end of New Zealand’s decade long deployment of troops in the war-torn country.

New Zealand Defense Minister Jonathan Coleman was among the first to greet the troops.

He said that the region is stable enough for the Afghans to govern alone, Radio New Zealand reported.
