Late founder of the Islamic Republic and the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Sayyed Rohollah Imam Khomeini:’International Quds Day rejects compromise on Zionist Israel’

The annual ceremonies of the International Quds Day have thwarted attempts aimed at making compromise with Zionist Israel, a statement by Iran’s Armed Forces says.

The initiative by the late founder of the Islamic Republic and the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Sayyed Rohollah Imam Khomeini, to hold the International Quds Day rallies, and the Iranian nation’s pioneering role in conducting the annual ceremonies, thwarted the efforts to compromise with Israel, Iran’s Armed Forces announced in a statement on Thursday.

Late founder of the Islamic Republic and the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Sayyed Rohollah Imam Khomeini, in August 1979 declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day, calling for international rallies in support of Palestinians and against Israel.

The campaign has become a global cause and apart from the Muslim nations, freedom fighters in other countries have risen to defend Palestine, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the US and its allies see the existence of Zionist Israel in jeopardy more than any time before, it went on to say.

The statement made a reference to the successive falls of the Western-backed and pro-Israeli dictators in the region which have unlocked the potentials of the Islamic world to rise against Zionist Israel.

“Thanks to the awareness and vigilance of the people in the region, the appropriate grounds have been prepared for the victory of the oppressed Palestinian nation and defeat and annihilation of the occupiers of al-Quds (Jerusalem),” it pointed out.
